It does take a few hours to get cold. You should be able to feel a difference in a matter of 3-4 hours, but it will not get down to desired temps for about 12 hours. Your dealer should have had everything running when you took possession and walked you through all systems.

Can anyone give me a critique on this park. I think it is an Army Corp. park. Which sites are more preferred. I have 50 amp service in my 5er but will settle for 30 amp if the site is good. Thanks to all who respond.

You didn't say if you every sprayed the inside of the black tank. If not, is suggest doing so at least after every other dumping and to always keep a small amount of water in the tank to keep any solidification of waste. Hopefully the vent pipe is not clogged or sitting too low in the tank.

I had the same situation a couple of weeks ago, but I was leaving Fredricksburg to head for Houston. A friend of mine in Beurne advised me to take I-10 through San Antonio. We did, and it was a breeze. Just keep an eye on the road signs and you will be fine. We left Fredricksburg via 87 to I-10 to Houston. Have a good trip.
